Troubleshooting
Problem
After patching to Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling File Gateway to 5.2.5 ifix16, seeing 8+ hours delays in IBM Control Center (ICC) displaying SFG events.
Symptom
- ICC gets behind 8+ hours for the SFG events, but it's up to date with monitoring other things such as Business Processes and the SFTP logs.
- In ICC, the checkpoint record showed 23 hours behind, so it will continue to try to catchup until it gets all the records from B2BI. <checkPoint> <lastPollDateTime>10/12/2017, 14:12:27 -0400</lastPollDateTime> <savedDateTime>10/11/2017, 01:23:18 -0400</savedDateTime> <sequenceNumber>1000000</sequenceNumber> <utc>true</utc> <utcDeltaSeconds>-14400</utcDeltaSeconds> </checkPoint> |
Environment
ICC Version: 6.0.0.1_iFix08 - build December 14 2016 11:04.
B2BI version 5.2.5_16 on Linux and Oracle DB.
Diagnosing The Problem
- Capture the ICC log and the B2BI CCC log for a few minutes.
- Verify if B2BI is sending responds to the ICC queries by reviewing the ICC Database table FG_STAT_LOG, see if it is increasing by whatever 'max record value' is configured in ICC parm.
Resolving The Problem
1. From the ICC SWING Console, set the Monitor Rest Time to 60 secs (default) for the B2Bi server.
2. From the ICC Web Console, in file CCEngineService.xml, set siRecordLimit to 10000. (This change requires both ICC and B2BI to be cycles for this change to be in effect.) |
