Problem
This document contains information about the AFP printer driver provided by Ricoh.
Environment
IBM i Access Version of the AFP Printer Driver is out of support as of April 30, 2019. The IBM i Global Support Center will not provide any further support of this driver.
Resolving The Problem
Ricoh Production Print Solutions AFP Printer Driver for Windows
| Warning: The Ricoh Production Print Solutions AFP Printer Driver for Windows does not include the cwbaffax.zip file and does not support using the AFP printer driver with Facsimile Support/400 (FAX/400) and Enhanced Services. If you need to use the AFP printer driver with Facsimile Support/400 (FAX/400) and Enhanced Services, then you must use the IBM i Access version of the AFP printer driver and not the Ricoh Production Print Solutions AFP Printer Driver for Windows. |

From the link, it states:
This EID has been deprecated and is no longer available. Please submit a new No Charge request at: https://dl.ricohsoftware.com/no_charge_request
You must submit a request to get the AFP print driver or AFP Workbench Viewer and Plugin.
Go to the aforementioned website or click the link that says This EID has been deprecated and is no longer available.
Fill out the form.
Once approved, an email will be received that will contain a link to download the driver or viewer.

Support of the AFP Print Driver for Windows is provided by Ricoh. IBM i Global Support Center may provide assistance and/or documentation regarding the usage of the driver in creating AFP resources for use on the IBM i or faxing PC documents. Any installation or usage questions outside of these topics should be directed to Ricoh support.

To use the AFP printer driver with Facsimile Support/400 (FAX/400) and Enhanced Services on a Windows 8.1 PC, you must first install the Ricoh Production Print Solutions AFP Printer Driver for Windows, and then manually download and install the cwbaffax.zip file from the following site:

Note that the cwbaffax.zip file can be used with 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Windows running on either AMD or Intel Xeon processors.
- The IBM i Access for Windows version of the AFP printer driver includes a cwbaffax.zip file which adds support for using the AFP printer driver with Facsimile Support/400 (FAX/400) and Enhanced Services.
The IBM i Access for Windows version of the AFP printer driver does not install on PCs running Microsoft Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 because this version of the driver is not digitally signed. If the AFP printer driver is needed on a Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 PC, then the Ricoh Production Print Solutions AFP Printer Driver for Windows should be installed instead.
