Troubleshooting
Problem
Starting with Windows 11 Version 22H2 (KB5019509) the default terminal environment was changed away from "Windows Console Host" to "Windows Terminal."
This change causes a Windows Terminal window to be opened and remain open whenever IBM i Access Client Solutions is being used.
This change takes place if you have installed Windows Terminal version 1.15 or later.
Resolving The Problem
IBM i ACS version 1.1.9.2 (released April 2023) contains a fix that forces a call to the legacy Windows Console Host. Note that this change is only implemented if you update IBM i ACS by running one of the install_acs* install scripts. Other methods of updating IBM i ACS do not implement this Windows Console Host change.
Here are other solutions also available:
Option 1- Minimize the Windows Terminal that opens along with Access Client Solutions or leave it in the background. This change doesn't effect how Access Client Solutions behaves when used. Do understand when you close that command prompt Access Client Solutions closes as well.
Option 2- Revert the change so that the Default Terminal Application in Windows 11 is set to Windows Console Host. This Microsoft document provides information on doing this:

What follows is a summary of how to manually make that change:

What follows is a summary of how to manually make that change:
Solution: System settings
-
Select Start > Settings > Privacy > In the Find a setting search field under Home, type in Developer settings and select the item. The For developers settings will display. Scroll down to locate the Terminal section.
-
Under the Terminal section, select Windows Console Host.
-
Change the Default Terminal from "Let Windows decide" to "Windows Console Host"
PC will need to be rebooted for change to take effect.
Note: The Microsoft document has a section "For IT pros and IT admins" that provides information on the Windows Registry changes need to accomplish this. This information should be able to be used to push this change out across an enterprise. That would be supported by Microsoft.
