Is linkset pairing required to establish links in IBM Rational DOORS?
Cause
Options that you can specify for a linkset pair, such as mandatory or overrideable, are not available when you are creating link modules or establishing linksets in Rational DOORS.
Answer
Linkset pairing is optional.
To create a link in DOORS you only need a link module with a linkset for the for the direction you intend to create the object link. Linkset pairing allows you set individual module values for how link creation will behave by default.
