Affected configurations
This tip is not hardware specific.
The system is configured with one or more of the following IBM Options:
The MegaRAID firmware for the version 1.02.02-0167 or lower is affected.
The system is configured with at least one of the following:

Apply MegaRAID Firmware image version 1.03.20-0400, or higher.

Additional information
While the controller firmware is processing error recovery routines related to SATA traffic, it is possible for a data frame to become corrupt.
This issue was discovered by lab testing in an intensive error injection environment. IBM has not received any reports from the field on this issue to date. There is no exposure on SAS-only systems as this issue can only affects systems with SATA hard drives.
As a result of this issue, the operator would see errors reported by the operating system or an application.
