Solution
The xmms-CDRead audio input plugin can be installed to add this functionality. Visit http://www.xmms.org to view the plugin database and obtain more information.

Workaround
A standard analog audio pass-through cable can be installed in the audio-out header on the CD-ROM drive and connected to the JCDIN1 CD audio header on the system board. See your user manual for internal connector location information.

Additional information
The XMMS application included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, version 3 does not support playing CDA tracks as digital data directly through the IDE interface. It supports traditional CD audio over the analog pass-through only.
