Procedures for removing a hard drive from the xSeries 306 server.

Text from the audio portion of removing a hard drive movie

To remove a hard disk drive:

  1. Remove the front bezel, Press in on the two blue latches and rotate the bezel down.

    Note: the power and reset button covers may come off with the bezel.

  2. Remove the disk drive:
    1. Grasp the drive tray handle and slide the drive out of the system.
    2. Remove the other drive using the same procedure
  3. To remove the drive tray:
    1. Remove the four screws and lift the tray off the drive.

For specific instructions for the removal and installation of hardware.
