The following fixes and updates are included in the 2017  Q2  PTFs:

Overall Navigator for i changes:

ADMIN2 previously created cookies in the browser for IBM Navigator for i that did not have the flag of HttpOnly.  This might be recognized by some security scanners as a vulnerability.  These cookies without the HttpOnly flag have been removed.

Component Enhancements:

  1. Performance Task on the web enhancements are detailed here Performance Data Investigator page.

Fixes

  1. The Add Registry Group of User Registries in EIM is now shown and can be used.
  2. Monitor trigger command previously would not run correctly when submitted under system default user profile. When the owner of system monitor or message monitor is a system default user profile, like QSECOFR, the trigger command previously would not be run correctly. This has been fixed so that trigger now works as expected.  The list of system default users are: QSYS, QDBSHR, QDFTOWN, QDOC, QLPAUTO, QLPINSTALL, QRJE, QSPL, QTSTRQS, QSECOFR.
  3. When the message monitor is configured to monitor all inquiry messages, and it is triggered after the message queue receives an inquiry message, a problem could previously occur that after the inquiry message is replied, the monitor is continuously triggered and executes the associated command even though the triggering event has been cleared and no inquiry messages are continuously received.  This has been fixed so that the trigger for the inquiry message monitor will stop after it has been replied to.
  4. Not all the users selected on the Create Group panel are included in the group being created.  If you select multiple users to be added to a group, and at least one of those users is a "system user profile", then the users selected after that system user profile were not included in the newly created group.   This has been fixed so that all user profiles that are selected (that are not system user profiles) will be added to the group profile.
  5. Owned objects for a group user profile do not work correctly. When you select the action to display owned objects for a group user profile, a new tab will now appear to display the owned objects for that group profile.
  6. MONSWABRM command prompting does not handle the *MSGQ selection for the LIB parameter. If *MSGQ is selected for the LIB parameter, and a message queue is specified for the MSGQ parameter, the selections were previously not saved when the command is processed.
  7. In the IBM Navigator for i web application (http://<server>:2004/ibm/console), additional database suffixes
(especially the user's EIM domain) previously did not display when browsing to export a selected subtree during export of an IBM Tivoli Directory server's directory information to a LDIF file.

    1.  In IBM Navigator for i, I click on Network -> Servers -> TCP/IP Servers. Right-click on IBM Tivoli Directory Server for IBM i and click on Properties. Then, select the Database/Suffixes category. You will see the "ibm-eimDomainName=EIM" suffix or something similar. Then, you would click on the Cancel button, right-click on IBM Tivoli Directory Server for IBM i again and select Tools -> Export File.

    2. Enter an IFS file path you wish to export the data to. Then, select the radio button next to "Export selected subtree". Finally, click the Browse... button next to "Export selected subtree". When the "Browse Directory" screen is displayed, the "ibm-eimDomainName=EIM" suffixes will now be displayed and can be selected.

  8. The EIM mapping policy previously was shown greyed out.  This is now fixed so the mapping policy of EIM Domain and User Registries is available.

  9. When configuring EIM, an error might occur, "Error occurred while creating domain EIM2. Communication error with EIM domain controller.  The server may be down, or the server name or port number may be incorrect".  This is now fixed so the configuration of EIM will now result in this error.

  10.  IBM Navigator for i PTF Compare and Update function previously returned empty results. Going through Configuration and Services->Program Temporary Fixes->PTFs and chose Action->Compare and Update and followed the wizard to compare PTFs with target systems, a summary of the number of PTFs missing on target system may be shown. When clicking on system name to see a detailed list of missing PTFs, the detailed lists of missing PTFs will now be displayed.

Detail on PTF apply:

 1. Enter the following commands to stop the QHTTPSVR subsystem and QINAVMNSRV job before applying PTF:

   ENDSBS SBS(QHTTPSVR) OPTION(*IMMED)
   CALL PGM(QSYSDIR/QINAVMNSRV) PARM(*STOP)

   2. Apply or remove this PTF (immediate mode).

   3. Start the HTTP server(s) using:

STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

   4. It is required to clear the browser cache after applying this PTF for some of the above changes to take effect.
