After the solution components are installed and configured
to work together, you can configure a data masking policy to mask
application data.
Workflow to configure a data masking policy
The basic workflow to configure a data masking policy is
first to create the policy and its rules and actions in Guardium®. You can then test the policy with
the policy simulator and iteratively add rules or edit rules as necessary.
When you are done, install or reinstall the policy to enable data
masking.
Adding a rule to a policy
After you create a policy, you can add rules to the policy
as needed to mask more data.
Editing a rule in a data masking policy
If you discover through testing that the rules in your
data masking policy do not mask data correctly, edit the rules as
necessary.
