Virtual appliance platform
Some of the feature enhancements include:
  • Local Management Interface (LMI) certificate configuration support. See Managing certificates
  • Local Management Interface (LMI) tracing can be enabled through the Virtual Appliance CLI
  • Network gateway can be specified for the application interface
  • Single network interface (NIC) to set up the virtual appliance
    Note: 3 network interfaces (NICs) are necessary when you are configuring an application interface.
  • IBM® Security Directory Integrator adapters management. See Managing IBM Security Directory Integrator instances
  • VMware Virtual hardware version 11 support
SSH Key Management

IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager now supports SSH key pairs as an authentication method. The private keys of the key pair are stored in a key vault and SSH Key management at the account level on the end points is controlled by IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager. IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager also handles automatic and scheduled rotation of the private keys that it manages.Privileged Users can check out keys and securely connect to end points with Privileged Session Gateway. IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager also supports export and download of keys based on the administrative policy.

Web Service Integration
System Administrators can now create Web Service Integrations to integrate with other applications through REST calls in the check-out workflow.
