Supporting Veritas volume groups
Among other OEM volume groups and file systems, PowerHA® SystemMirror® supports volume groups and file systems created with VxVM in Veritas Foundation Suite v.4.0.
To make it easier for you to accommodate Veritas volume groups in the PowerHA SystemMirror cluster, the methods for Veritas volume groups support are predefined in PowerHA SystemMirror and are used automatically. After you add Veritas volume groups to PowerHA SystemMirror resource groups, you can select the methods for the volume groups from the picklists in PowerHA SystemMirror SMIT menus for OEM volume groups support.
Note: After you configure Veritas volume groups or file systems
in PowerHA SystemMirror cluster,
the PowerHA SystemMirror cluster
verification utility runs the associated Veritas verification check.
This verification check is effective only for the volume groups or
file systems that are currently online on the node on which the verification
is being run.
