Creating a custom root subclass

When you create a custom root subclass, you can customize class behavior by adding properties to the properties that are already in the superclass.

To create a custom root subclass:

1. Start the New Class wizard in the administration console:
   1. In the domain navigation pane, select the object store.
   2. In the object store navigation pane, click Data Design > Classes > Other Classes.
   3. Right- click one of the existing custom root classes (Abstract Persistable, Abstract Queue Entry, or Abstract Sequential) and click New Class.
2. Complete the wizard and open the new class.
3. In the Property Definitions tab, add or modify property definitions. In the other tabs, further customize the class as needed.
