Explanation
Message is issued when system logger
is attempting to obtain a DRXRC-type staging data set, but was unable
to acquire one on this system for the identified log stream. It can
occur in the following three situations:
- during a log stream connection
- after a structure rebuild
- after a permanent I/O error occurred for a prior instance of the
DRXRC-type staging data set. A new DRXRC-type staging data set instance
cannot be obtained.
Duplexing of the primary site for system logger depends
on the LOGGERDUPLEX parameter. See system logger message IXG217E.
Message is issued when system logger is attempting to obtain a DRXRC-type
staging data set, but was unable to acquire one on this system for
this log stream.
In the message text:
- logstream
- The name of the log stream that had the DRXRC-type staging data
set error.
System action
System logger produces the duplex log data written
to primary storage (coupling facility structure) in local buffers
for any recovery conditions for the primary site for the log stream.
System logger is unable to duplex asynchronously the same log data
in a DRXRC-type staging data set for the recovery purposes of the
potential log stream on a secondary or recovery site.
Operator response
System programmer response
Correct the error related to the staging
data set. To ensure that system logger attempts to allocate the DRXRC-type
staging data set again, take one of the following actions:
- If in structure simplex-mode, issue a structure rebuild by using
the SETXCF START,REBUILD... command.
- If in structure duplex mode, transition from structure duplex-mode
to simplex-mode (SETXCF STOP,REBUILD,DUPLEX... command), issue the
structure rebuild (see prior step a), or restart structure duplexing
(SETXCF START,REBUILD,DUPLEX... command).
- Disconnect all connection on this system and reconnect to the
log stream.
