Configuration-managed assets
The information for the physical builds of aircraft and other complex configuration-managed (CM) assets are stored in asset records. Assets are tracked and can be validated according to configuration rules and the reference data in models.

Asset Roles and Capabilities application
You can create, assign, and edit asset roles and capabilities. Roles specify the capabilities that an asset requires to perform the role.

Creating production assets
Configuration-managed assets are the physical representations of complex models and items that you define in the reference data. You can validate operational changes to the status of the asset based on the configuration rules and the reference data that is defined in the model.
