Installing the CICS Modern Batch Feature Pack

CICS® TS Feature Pack for Modern Batch is installed by using the SMP/E RECEIVE, APPLY, and ACCEPT commands. The program number for CICS Modern Batch Feature Pack is 5655-Y50, and the FMID is HCIF51B. You can use the sample jobs that are provided to perform part or all of the installation tasks, or you can use the SMP/E dialogs to perform the SMP/E installation steps.

  • <install root>/batchfp/jvmprofiles - directory containing the jvm profiles.
  • <install root>/batchfp/samples
  • <install root>/batchfp/samples/config - directory containing sample batch container configuration file and xsd file for the configuration
  • <install root>/batchfp/samples/java - directory containing sample java batch program
  • <install root>/batchfp/lib - directory containing batch container jar files
  • <install root>/batchfp/pipelines - directory containing sample pipeline XML
