What's new in IBM MQ 9.1.3

IBM® MQ 9.1.3 delivers a number of new and enhanced features on AIX®, Linux®, Windows, and z/OS®.

The individual features provided by a CD release are stand-alone functions but may increase in capability in subsequent CD releases, enhancing earlier CD features and forming a suite of related capabilities.

New IBM MQ for Multiplatforms features

The following new features are available with both IBM MQ base product entitlement, and with IBM MQ Advanced entitlement:

• Enhancements to automatic application balancing
• Enhancements to the messaging REST API
• Enhancements to the administrative REST API
• Configurable ephemeral directory
• .NET Core application development on MacOS
• Support for converting between CCSIDs 37 and 500
• Embedding the IBM MQ Console in an IFrame

The following new features are available only with IBM MQ Advanced entitlement:

• New fteClearMonitorHistory command for clearing resource monitor history
• Managed File Transfer support for FTP server on existing IBM i systems
• Option to specify wait time for Managed File Transfer database logger shut down

New IBM MQ for z/OS features

The following new features are available both with IBM MQ for z/OS base product entitlement, and with IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS and IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS Value Unit Edition entitlement:

• Runnable Service Archive support for IBM MQ
• Enhancements to the messaging REST API
• Enhancements to the administrative REST API
• Embedding the IBM MQ Console in an IFrame

The following new features are available only with IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS and IBM MQ Advanced for z/OS Value Unit Edition entitlement:

• New fteClearMonitorHistory command for clearing resource monitor history
• Option to specify wait time for Managed File Transfer database logger shut down
• Advanced Message Security interception on server-to-server message channels
