IBM Security Verify integration with MaaS360

Integration overview

MaaS360 integrates with IBM Security Verify, an Identity and Access Management (IAM) service delivered as a SaaS offering (Identity as a Service: ID-a-a-S) that enables single sign-on (SSO) and conditional access capabilities across SaaS-based applications for users on mobile and desktop environments. The MaaS360 and Verify integration enables IT administrators to provision third-party cloud applications to their users.

The organization faces many challenges during the enablement of third-party cloud applications for the enterprise. The following issues might occur across various departments:

  • Must use and remember multiple or different passwords for many apps
  • Trouble understanding the mobile experience
  • Trying to identify which apps they are entitled to download and how to request access to download those apps

The MaaS360 integration with Verify includes the following features:

• Single sign-on (SSO) to Web or SaaS apps on mobile devices: Users do not have to enter credentials to authenticate with an app.
• Conditional access management: This feature allows only entitled users and devices to access SaaS apps.
• Simple onboarding and provisioning: The administrator can start a new instance of Verify from the MaaS360 Portal by providing basic information.
• Easy Identity Federation: The administrator can use connectors that are already used by Verify to integrate with SaaS apps.
• Threat Management: This feature uses X-Force® Exchange to manage the risk of threats. Verify provides risk data for apps.
• Interoperability: This feature provides Identity Providers that are already integrated with Verify.
