Uploading documents to ADP

You can upload document to IBM Automation Document Processing (ADP).

IBM® Datacap is an ingestion client for IBM Automation Document Processing (ADP). In IBM Datacap navigator, you can scan upload the documents to APD that is Content Platform Engine backend server. You need the access to connect ADP. You can upload document to ADP. You need to create ADP batch for uploading the document.

To upload a document to ADP batch from IBM Datacap Navigator client:

  1. Click Navigator Scan.
  2. Pick the document, click Scan.
    You can see that the document is added.
  3. Click Submit to send to ADP.
    The document is sent to Content Platform Engine / ADP to creating a batch.
  4. To verify the batch created, select the batch ID, can read the detail document properties.
  5. To monitor or debug log running job, do the following steps:
    1. In IBM Datacap, you can check the location C:\Datacap\scan\AriaDocs\batches
    2. Inside the batch ID, go to the log file the <taskname>_rrs.log to check any errors.
    3. Open nscan.xml and AriaUploda.xml files to know the document information.
    4. You can review the batch issues, manage all the properties in IBM Datacap.
