Turning on Microsoft .NET Framework

Before you install Datacap on your Windows workstations or servers, ensure that the Microsoft .NET Framework operating system feature is turned on or added on every workstation and server.

Procedure

  1. To turn on compatible version of Microsoft .NET Framework on Windows 7:
    1. Select Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
    2. Select Turn Windows features on or off.
    3. If not already installed, select Microsoft .NET Framework and click OK. For more information on compatible version of Microsoft .NET Framework, see https://www.ibm.com/software/reports/compatibility/clarity/index.html
    4. Restart the machine when prompted.
  2. To turn on Microsoft .NET Framework on Windows 2008:
    1. Select Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager.
    2. In the Server Manager hierarchy pane, select Features.
    3. If not already installed, click Add Features.
    4. Select .NET Framework Feature and click Next.
    5. Click Install.
    6. Ensure that the installation was successful, then click Close.
