The governance enablement profile asset types can be synchronized within WSRR Advanced Lifecycle Edition.
Entities of these asset types can be created in either system, WSRR or Rational® Asset Manager. They can be represented by a corresponding entity in the other system with matching metadata, as they are go through their lifecycles. When synchronization is enabled in WSRR Advanced Lifecycle Edition, there is a choice of which system to use by a role to perform different actions during the stages of their lifecycles.
In the governance enablement profile there are three lifecycles that are relevant for governing and synchronizing entities in WSRR Advanced Lifecycle Edition.
Rational Asset Manager also has various lifecycles defined for the different types of assets within its own environment. There are lifecycles for the following asset types:
Synchronization will occur at specific state transitions in WSRR and Rational Asset Manager, depending on the asset type. The following sub-sections show when the synchronizations take place.
