Importing the workflow configuration files

In order for workflows to be processed correctly, you must import the workflow configuration files by using the Process Configuration Console or by using the Configuration Manager.

About this task

Use the Process Configuration Console when you are using an earlier version of Component Manager. Use the Configure Workflows task in the Object Store Configuration Profile of IBM® Enterprise Records when you are using a later version of Component Manager.
Important: In the RMWorkflowConfiguration.xml file, TrackingAttachment is set to false, which makes the Scan Physical Items feature unavailable. If you do want to use the Scan Physical Items feature, you can change TrackingAttachment to true in the RMWorkflowConfiguration.xml file now or modify it later through the Process Configuration Console Application Engine. Enabling this tracking feature can cause a serious Process Engine or Content Platform Engine performance issue. If you have large number of work items in Process Engine or Content Platform Engine, it might take a long time to finish the IBM Enterprise Records workflow configuration file import process. Purge unneeded event log records and tracker work items from Process Engine or Content Platform Engine first to limit the impact.
Attention: To import the workflow configuration files by using the Configure Workflows task in the Object Store Configuration Profile of IBM Enterprise Records Configuration Manager, see the Configuring and transferring workflows topic.
