Work Centers

Work Centers are role-based user interfaces where users can access and complete daily tasks. By using Work Centers, you can access system data and complete tasks without opening multiple applications. You can use tools to complete specific tasks such as creating a service request, designing data sets for business analysis, or creating inspection forms.

If you have access to multiple Work Centers and tools, you can set one Work Center or tool as your default.

Business Analysis Work Center
As a business analyst, you can use the Business Analysis Work Center to analyze information, and monitor and identify trends. You can use the data that is provided by the Work Center to improve operation and user performance.
Work Supervision Work Center
The Work Supervision Work Center facilitates the work management activities of supervisors. As a supervisor, you can manage the workload of technicians and assign owners to the work.
Work Execution Work Center
As a maintenance technician, you can use the Work Execution Work Center on a desktop computer or mobile device to manage work orders that you own.
Data Set Designer
Business analysts can use the Data Set Designer to create data sets quickly and without the involvement of IT personnel.
Service Requests
You can use the Service Requests tool to quickly create service requests by using your desktop computer, laptop computer, or mobile device. You can also monitor the status of existing service requests that you created or are affected by.
Inspections
You can use the Inspections tools to create online inspection forms by using your desktop computer or laptop, and you can use the forms to complete an inspection by using your desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.
Example: Responding to a user problem
When a user opens a service request to report a problem, a work order is created. A maintenance supervisor reviews and approves the work order, then selects a technician as the owner. A storeroom clerk supplies any parts that are required to fix the problem. As the technician completes the work, the user who opened the service request can track the progress until it is completed.
