Feature

Description

Display internet style names

When you address an email or a meeting invitation, a list of names and addresses appears as you type. You can now customize the style of this type-ahead list to display internet names instead of Notes addresses. Click File > Preferences > Mail. Then click the Basics tab and select Show display names as internet address.

Note: To use this feature, your administrator must upgrade your mail file to the Feature Pack 8 template.

Show beginning of message

When this setting is enabled by your administrator, you can hover over messages in your inbox or personal folders and see the first 100 characters of a message.

Maintain read-only MIME email content for Reply/Forward

In prior releases of Notes, the Notes editor would not maintain fidelity when a complex HTML MIME email message was prepared for Reply/Forward. Beginning in this release, when replying to or forwarding these types of MIME messages, the original message content is presented in read-only mode so that the recipient will see the content as originally received. This setting must be enabled by your administrator and is not available in the Notes basic client.
