Portal V6.1.x on application server V6.1: Backing up the system
Make sure that you have a backup and recovery policy up to date and in effect before proceeding with any alterations to the environment being migrated. Follow the instructions in the Backup and restore section to ensure that you are covering all the affected assets.
Before you begin
About this task
Before proceeding with migration it is recommended that you make a fresh backup of your environment. At a minimum, you need to backup:
Procedure
- Databases.
- Directory structures of the source environment.
- Security configuration.
