Views
A view is a visual component in the workbench. The CICS
Explorer displays resource information in views. You can decide on
the size and position of the views, and what information to show in
them.
The operation views
The CICS Explorer operation views provide a view of the CICS resources that support day-to-day operation and management of the enterprise. If CICS Explorer is connected to a CICSPlex SM WUI server, the operation views provide a single-system image of the CICS resources in a CICSplex. If CICS Explorer is connected to a single CICS region, the operation views provide a view of the CICS resources in the CICS region.
The definition views
The CICS Explorer definition views display details of the CICS and CICSPlex SM resource definitions. You can perform actions against the resources, including creating new resource definitions and updating existing definitions by using the CICS Explorer resource editor. In a CICS TS Version 4 or later system, you can also view groups, lists, and their contents in an individual CICS CSD file.
The editor views
You can use the CICS Explorer editor views to view and change the attributes of individual resources. You can open multiple editors at the same time and can position them side-by-side for easy comparison of data.
The z/OS views
The z/OS perspective consists of a set of views for the management of your z/OS® artifacts. The active perspective name is displayed on a button in the shortcut bar . You must have an active FTP or z/OSMF connection to view z/OS data.
