What's new for administrators in IBM Content Navigator V3.0.2?

IBM® Content Navigator Version 3.0.2 includes IBM Content Manager repository support for the edit service, a new print option, and theme support in the user interface.

Integrating IBM Content Navigator with users' workstations with the edit service

If you use IBM Content Navigator with IBM FileNet® P8 and IBM Content Manager repositories, you can install the Edit Service client on users' workstations to enable users to easily add files or edit files in the native applications installed on their computers.

The edit service streamlines the following processes for users:
  • Creating and adding new documents to the repository
  • Saving changes made in native desktop applications to the repository

For more information about the edit service, see Configuring the Edit Service client for IBM Content Navigator.

Creating and applying themes for both the classic and default UI style

You can now create custom themes that are based on the newer Default UI style. Prior to 3.0.2, custom themes were based on the Classic UI style. This feature offers the following enhancements:
  • The option to create a theme based on the new Default style or the Classic UI style
  • The ability to change the theme at creation time or when editing
  • Built-in themes that you can select or modify
For more information about themes, see Defining themes.
