Monitoring instances

You can monitor the status and health of your IBM® Streams environment and capture the information for offline viewing and analysis.

• To view the status of an IBM Streams instance, its resources, and services, use the Streams Console or the streamtool getresourcestate command. For more information about the command syntax and options, enter streamtool man getresourcestate.
• To capture the status of the instance and generate an XML file for offline viewing and analysis, use the streamtool capturestate command. The command output also includes the state of objects in the system and the metrics available on those objects. For more information about the command syntax and options, enter streamtool man capturestate.
