Starting and stopping instances
To run IBM® Streams, you must start an IBM Streams instance.
Before you begin
To start or stop an instance, you must have write authority for the instance. For more information, see User authorization for IBM Streams.
About this task
You can use the Streams Console, Streams Studio, or the streamtool startinstance and streamtool stopinstance commands.
Results
When you start an instance, instance services start on the appropriate resources.
When you stop an instance, all of the jobs and services for the instance are gracefully stopped.
