Configuring Android Enterprise setup from the Quick Start

You must set up Android Enterprise to use Android Enterprise features. You can also skip this step for now and set up later from Services > Mobile Device Management.

About this task

Follow these steps to configure Android Enterprise setup from the Quick Start. You cannot use Android Enterprise features unless you configure Android Enterprise:

Procedure

  1. From the MaaS360 Quick Start Home page, click Get Started.
If Apple Enrollment setup is complete, you are directed to the Android Enterprise setup screen.
  2. From the Setup Android Enterprise screen, click Setup Android Enterprise.
    Setup Android Enterprise
  3. From the Setup Android Enterprise wizard, follow the steps that apply to your scenario.
    • To enable setup through Managed Google Play Accounts (you do not use G Suite for Business), follow these steps:
      1. Click Sign up for Android Enterprise.
        No G Suite for business
      2. Click Get Started.
        Android to Work-Get Started
      3. Enter a business name and then click Next. You can enter any name in this field.
        Business name
      4. Follow the steps and enter the requested details and then click Confirm.
      5. Click Complete Registration to complete the Android Enterprise setup managed by Google Play Accounts.
    • If you want to enable setup using Google Accounts (G Suite for Business), follow these steps:
      1. Enter the Domain Name and the EMM Token.
Note: To identify the EMM token, sign in to the Google Admin console as a super administrator to generate an EMM token or copy an existing token.
      2. Enable the option to sync user information from MaaS360® to the G Suite user directory if needed. Enabling this option deletes the user in the G Suite directory if the user is also deleted in MaaS360. Any updates to user attributes in MaaS360 (such as username or phone number) are synced to the G Suite directory.
      3. Click Continue and save the Android Enterprise details.

Results

The Android Enterprise setup is complete. If necessary, you can edit the existing Android Enterprise setup. These steps are the same as configuring Android Enterprise for the first time.
