Provisioning a Verify instance in the MaaS360 Portal

The administrator must create a Verify tenant in the MaaS360® Portal to enable Verify integration with MaaS360.

The MaaS360 Portal provides workflows to create a new tenant of Verify. The administrator chooses a tenant name, enters their IBM ID, and then starts the new Verify tenant.

Note: For local users, you must edit and add a value. For LDAP users, the values for custom attributes are fetched and populated from the LDAP server if attribute mappings are mapped from Cloud Extender.

Enabling the Verify service for Windows

To enable the service for Windows 10 laptops and desktops, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Setup > Services > Identity and Access Management, and enable IBM Security Verify.
    IBM Security Verify option
Note: To integrate MaaS360 with the Canadian or Japanese IBM® Security Verify environments, follow these steps:
    1. Enter the values for IBM Security Verify Subscription Hostname and IBM ID.
    2. For new IBM Security Verify environment integrations, select from the following values:
      • Canada: NA-CANADA

If the Geo section is not displaying the Canadian or Japanese environment settings during the IBM Security Verify integration, contact IBM Support for assistance with adding these settings to this section.

After the IBM Security Verify setup is complete, enable the Identity and Access Management for Desktops option.

Note: Use the Identity and Access Management for Desktops option to manage Windows 10 devices with MaaS360 MDM only. This option might prevent other types of laptops from accessing managed resources that are currently deployed in your organization.
  2. Click Identity and Access Management for Desktops to enable the service.
