Preparing the system for operation
Learn how to prepare the system for operation after you remove and replace the control panel with the system power turned off.
To prepare the system for operation, complete
the following steps:
- Replace the front cover. For instructions, see Installing the front cover on the 5148-21L, 5148-22L, 8247-21L, 8247-22L, 8247-42L, 8284-21A, 8284-22A, 8286-41A, or 8286-42A.
- Reconnect the power cords to the system. For instructions, see Connecting the power cords.
- Start the system or logical partition. For instructions, see Starting a system or logical partition.
- Verify whether the control panel is operational by checking the progress codes.
