Examples: 12X connections

See how 12X cables are connected to expansion units and server units to form 12X loops.

Note: The physical connectors on the server units and expansion units might not have labels, or might have labels that are different from what is shown in the examples. In all cases, the top or left 12X connector corresponds to connector 0 in the examples, and the bottom or right 12X connector corresponds to connector 1 in the examples.
  1. Connect a server that has one GX adapter to two expansion units, as shown in the following figure.

  2. Connect a server to four expansion units using two GX adapters, where each adapter connects to two expansion units, as shown in the following figure.
