You might need to remove the system unit fan. Use the procedure
in this section to perform this task.
To remove a
system unit fan, do the following:
- Perform the prerequisite tasks described in Before you begin.
- To identify the failing part, see Identify a failing part.
- Remove the front cover, as described in Remove the front cover from the model 51x or 710.
- As shown in Figure 1, squeeze
the orange tabs on the sides of the failing fan and hold them in the open
position.
- Slide the failing fan unit out of the system.
