If you are working with one of the card types below, the adapter has multiple physical parts. Choose the card type to identify the physical parts of the storage adapter.
Card type 2BE1 (feature RAID enablement card for embedded IOA) read
the following:
When working the FRUs from the serviceable event or the failing item list here, the embedded
storage adapter (failing item STORIOA) has three physical parts:
The embedded storage adapter on the I/O backplane.
The RAID enablement card.
The Battery charger and carrier card.
See symbolic FRU FEATCRD for the location codes of the FRUs if they are
not listed in the serviceable event or if you are working the failing item list here.
Card type 57CB (embedded IOA with 2BCF battery card for
embedded IOA) read the following:
When working the FRUs from the serviceable event or the failing item list here, the embedded
storage adapter (failing item STORIOA) has two physical parts:
The embedded storage adapter on the I/O backplane.
The Battery charger and carrier card.
See symbolic FRU FEATCRD for the location codes of the FRUs if they are
not listed in the serviceable event or if you are working the failing item list here.
Card type 57CF (embedded IOAs on DASD backplane with 2BC2
dual battery charger and carrier card for the embedded IOAs) read the following:
When working the FRUs from the serviceable event or the failing item list here, the embedded
storage adapter (failing item STORIOA) has two physical parts:
The embedded storage adapter on the DASD backplane.
The dual battery charger and carrier card. To determine which battery
is connected to which embedded IOA use the bus number of the IOA with symbolic FRU
CACHBAT.
See symbolic FRU FEATCRD for the location code of the dual battery charger and
carrier card if it is not listed in the serviceable event or if you are
working the failing item list here.
