In 2004, IBM created and deployed its unified set of Supplier Conduct Principles covering provisions of labor, health and safety, environment, and management systems. In parallel, IBM joined with seven other firms as founding members of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC) and participated in the joint development of the EICC Code of Conduct. IBM endorsed the EICC Code for its operations and extended it to our direct suppliers of goods (in 2008) and services/software (in 2010).
In October 2017, the EICC re-branded itself the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) and consequently, the EICC Code of Conduct became the RBA Code of Conduct. Please visit our Supplier Code of Conduct page for more information.
