FAQ

Enrollment and Registration

Q: How can I enroll in the conference ?

A: Clients will be nominated by their IBM contacts and will be informed by email.

IBMers: A description of the process can be found here: https://w3.ibm.com/w3publisher/sre-ibm/sreconference-ibm/conference-news.

Kyndryl’ers: A description of the process can be found here: https://w3.ibm.com/ocean/w3publisher/sre-kyndryl/sreconference-ibm

Details for Red Hat will be shared via their respected channels.

Q: How do I access the online conference?

A: Once registered , you will receive an email that will give you access to the official conference event.

Q: What tracks should I register for?

A: We decided to not have WebEx Events for each session, but rather WebEx Events per track. This makes it easier for the attendees, but also for the organizers. The tracks run throughout the day, and when you want to switch between tracks ( which we assume you may ), please register for all three tracks.

Q: what WebEx session should I register when I want to attend sessions across different tracks

A: You’d need to register for all three tracks.  At the day of the conference, attend the corresponding track at the time of the sessions you want to attend. We hope with just 3 events each day, it is easier for you to jump between tracks. The alternative would have been to register ahead of time for each session you want to attend).

Q. what’s the difference between register and join

A: IBMers don’t have to register, but it is recommended to do. This gives us also some visibility in the amount of people interested in each track. Please note that you still have to specify your name and email, even if you are “just” joining, its a registration on the fly. When you use the link provided at the receipt of registration, it has a magic cookie that skips this step.

External attendees have to register before joining

Participation

Q: How can I engage with the presenter(s) ?

A: Our primary vehicle to engage will be Slack. We have dedicated channels for each session. Use this to engage with the speakers and other attendees before, during and after the session

Each presentation is followed by a 15min Q&A session. You can use this time to discuss the topic directly with the speakers. In order to ask a question, please first raise you hand. The track lead will unmute you (you will need to acknowledge), and then you are live to ask a question.

Q: What should I do once I join the live event?

A: The presentation will be streamed through WebEx events. Most of the presentations are pre-recorded and the presenters will be available during the session to answer any questions. Keynotes and Panels will be held live.

During the session, we will be using Slack to engage with the participants as well as the speakers. We will be providing Slack channels dedicated to each session, so please join the channels of the sessions you are interested in.

Q: Where can I download the slides?

A: We will make the material available to attendees after the event.

Q: Will I be able to listen to the sessions after the conference?

A: We will make the material available to attendees after the event.
