Setting the local time zone

How to set the time zone for the DataPower® Gateway.

About this task

The time zone affects the date and time that is the DataPower Gateway display, but the clock runs on Coordinated Universal Time. If daylight saving time applies, the displayed time is adjusted when the boundary is crossed.

When the DataPower Gateway product support tenants, the tenant inherits the time zone from the landlord. After you create a tenant, you can modify the tenant to use a different time zone.

Procedure

  1. In the search field, enter time.
  2. From the results, click Time Settings.
  3. From the Local time zone list, select the time zone.
  4. When the selected time zone is Custom, define the custom time zone.
    1. In the Name field, enter the alphabetic name for this custom time zone to append to the time.
    2. From the Direction from UTC list, select the direction from Coordinated Universal Time.
    3. In the Hours from UTC and Minute from UTC fields, enter the offsets.
    4. In the Daylight savings time (DST) offset field, enter the offset when daylight saving time is in effect.
    5. In the DST name field, enter the alphabetic name to append to the time when daylight saving time is in effect.
    6. Define when to start DST: Month, instance of day in month, day, hour, and minute.
    7. Define when to stop DST: Month, instance of day in month, day, hour, and minute.
  5. Click Apply to save the changes to the running configuration.
  6. Click Save Configuration or Save changes to save the changes to the persisted configuration.

Results

After the page refreshes, review the data in the Local Time field.
