Watson Explorer Engine includes a set of system reports for various components of the
software:
- Alert Service : Returns historical data about the Alert Service. Requires the
Alert Service to be configured and started.
- Scheduler Service: Returns historical data about the Scheduler Service. Requires
the Scheduler Service to be configured and started.
- Source Testing: Returns historical information about any source tests that have
been run. Requires Messages: Service status and Messages: Test Failures
reporting to be enabled in the System Messages tab of the
Administration section of the Management menu.
- API-based system messages: All API-based messages. Administrators that use the Watson Explorer Engine API may wish to schedule this report to be generated daily and emailed to
them.
- All System Errors: All errors from all components. Most are also shown in their
respective component-specific reports. Administrators may wish to schedule this report to be
generated daily and emailed to them.
- All System Messages: Like All system errors, but also including all warnings
and messages. If the reporting of many message types is enabled, this report may be very
large.
Tip: The All error and message reports return any errors/messages that are
recorded. The types of errors and messages that are recorded can be configured in the
System Messages tab of the Administration section of the
Management menu. Not all message types are recorded by
default.
In addition to these pre-configured system reports, you can also create your own system
reports that contain the report items shown in Adding Items to Custom System Reports.
