IBM Engineering AI Hub integration

The IBM MBSE use case discovery agent in IBM Engineering AI Hub, employing a foundation model hosted in watsonx.ai, introduces AI-driven automation into the MBSE workflow. The agent analyzes natural language requirements and suggests relevant actors and use cases that it discovers.. For more information, see IBM Engineering AI Hub integration.

The following are the key capabilities of MBSE use case discovery agent:

• Processes heterogeneous, unstructured textual requirements.
• Uses IBM watsonx.ai foundation model to interpret multiple requirements per use case.
• Recommends actors and use cases for model-based representations.

Managing extensions

You can manage your extensions and configure them for your organization from the Extensions page in Administration. For more information, see Managing extensions.

Creating user defined project templates

You can save your projects as a template, and reuse it while creating new projects. As a server administrator, you can review the project templates in use and manage any custom templates from the Project templates page. For more information, see Creating user defined project templates and Managing project templates.

General usability

Support for multi-decision drag and drop on elements

You can drag and drop elements into the view area to organize your model. In case of multiple actions, a contextual menu allows you to choose the appropriate action, and invalid drops shows a notification. For more information, see Drag and drop elements.

Open views in new tabs

You can now open views in new tabs. Click either icon or press Cmd+ Click on macOS or Ctrl + Click on Windows.

Keyboard shortcuts for copy and paste nodes

You can copy and paste nodes by using the following keyboard shortcuts.

Copy

Ctrl + C on Windows or Cmd + C on macOS.

Paste

Ctrl + V on Windows or Cmd + V on macOS.

Element description in the Add element box

The Add Element dialog box includes description for every element. When you open the dialog, you can view a brief explanation of what each element does before adding it.

Select multiple elements with Shift + Click

You can select a range of elements in the model browser by using Shift + Click on your keyboard.

Updating the same properties for multiple elements

You can update the same properties for multiple elements of same type at once by using the Properties panel. For more information, see Updating the properties of elements.

GDPR compliance

Rhapsody Systems Engineering provides a dedicated API to soft delete user personal information (PI) from the system while maintaining system consistency and compliance.

Simplified creation of custom view definitions and palettes

You can create a new view definition directly from the palette and quickly inherit features from any existing view definition. The Copy palette from base view option allows you to replicate the palette definition of base view, allowing you to extend or override it. For more information, see Customizing view definitions.

Adding user defined icons for elements

You can now assign custom icons to model elements defined by semantic metadata. For more information, see Adding user defined icons for elements.

Controlling the visibility of compartments

You can customize the visibility of compartment groups as well as the elements within each compartment. For more information, see Controlling the visibility of compartments.

IBM Common Licensing server

The IBM Common Licensing Server version is upgraded to version 9.0.0.2. Starting from Rhapsody Systems Engineering version 1.6.0, upgrade the IBM Common Licensing Server to version 9.0.0.2. For more information, see Upgrading IBM Common Licensing server.
