Reporting

Operational Reporting provides you the capability to analyze data that is stored in various applications to help you take intelligent and informed decisions about conducting your business.

Using Operational Reporting, you can create reports that run against the transactional database. Operational Reporting reduces the overall cost of providing transactional and operational data reporting capabilities.

Operational Reporting provides visibility into the day-to-day working of your business. Using Operational Reporting, you can address questions regarding the statuses of orders, inventory, top-selling or most returned products, current status of your business, and so on. You can also create and schedule reports that run with low-impact against the backup copy of your transactional database. The backup copy of the transactional database is maintained up to date, on an on-going basis.

The Operational Reporting tool uses the IBM Cognos Analytics v11.0.x reporting engine.

Important: The Operational Reporting component works with data that is maintained in Db2 database. If your inventory is maintained in IBM® Sterling Intelligent Promising Inventory Visibility, it is recommended to use Order Hub to view inventory-related metrics.

You can also create custom pages in Order Hub to view reports of any relevant data from your enterprise by leveraging the customization capabilities of Order Hub. For more information about customizing Order Hub, see Adding custom pages to Order Hub.

Tip: When you create a case for Cognos Operational Reporting issues in the IBM Sterling Order Management System solution, you must select Order management on Cloud as the product for the case to be routed to the correct support team.
