DB2 Connect Version 10.1 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows
Kernel parameters (Linux and UNIX)
Modifying kernel parameters for DB2 Connect (HP-UX)
For your DB2® database
product to perform properly on HP-UX, you might need to update your
system's kernel configuration parameters. If you update your kernel
configuration parameter values, you must restart your computer.
Modifying kernel parameters for DB2 Connect (Linux)
Before installing a DB2 database system, update your Linux kernel parameters. The default values
for particular kernel parameters on Linux are
not sufficient when running a DB2 database
system.
Modifying kernel parameters for DB2 Connect (Solaris)
For the DB2 database
system to operate properly, it is recommended that you update your
system's kernel configuration parameters. You can use the db2osconf utility
to suggest recommended kernel parameters. If you want to take advantage
of project resource controls (/etc/project),
consult your Solaris documentation.
