IBM BPM on Cloud overview

IBM® Business Process Manager on Cloud provides a Platform as a Service (PaaS) for developing and managing your business processes so that you can start projects quickly and deploy process application solutions without building or maintaining the IT infrastructure. IBM BPM on Cloud is a cloud-based, business process management environment for developing, testing, running, monitoring, optimizing, and governance of business processes.

You get a dedicated instance that is hosted in IBM cloud data centers and managed by IBM, and is configured and ready to use. Your instance includes separate environments for development, testing, and runtime. Users are assigned roles that determine which environments that they can access. A single sign-on to the IBM BPM on Cloud portal provides your process developers, process owners, and business users access to all of the components and environments that are appropriate to their roles and enable them to get started with business process improvement quickly.

IBM BPM on Cloud is based on IBM Business Process Manager Advanced on-premises edition, which provides a comprehensive platform for process design, orchestration, and governance across the full spectrum of work patterns. It provides the following capabilities:
  • High availability for production environments.
  • Tooling and run time environments for designing, testing, and running processes.
  • Capabilities for monitoring and optimizing work.
