Using the command-line interface to mask data

Use the InfoSphere® Optim™ data privacy application command-line interface (CLI) to mask data defined in a configuration file.

The CLI is available in Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux®.

To define a masking operation, add a masking string to a data field defined in the configuration file. A masking string includes a privacy provider string that masks a specific type of data, such as credit card numbers, national IDs, or unformatted information.
