Service collection

Use this page to view and work with collections of service entities.

To view the collection for all service entities stored in the registry, click Business Objects > Service.

You can change the maximum number of rows to be displayed when the collection is large. Click Preferences if the Maximum rows entry field is not visible, then type the required value in the entry field and click Apply to use the new value. To reset the maximum number of rows to the default value, click Reset. The default is 20 rows.

You can click the following icons to work with the entities in your collection:

: Select all items in the collection.
: Deselect all items in the collection.

To sort the collection in alphabetical order by a specific column, click the title of the column. Repeatedly clicking the same column title toggles between ascending and descending sort order. You can also click the icon alongside the column title to sort by that column. This icon indicates the sort status as follows:

: The collection is not sorted by this column.
: The collection is sorted in ascending order by this column.
: The collection is sorted in descending order by this column.

Note that if you change the sort order of a collection, and the collection is displayed over two or more pages, then the currently displayed page will be reset to the first page of the collection.

To view the details of a service, click the name in the list. On the details page, you can change existing properties, relationships, and classifications, and link to additional pages that show more information about the service and its logical structure.

To work with one or more service entities, select the Select check box beside the service names in the list, and click one of the buttons described in the following table.

Button	Resulting action
New	Creates a new entity.
Delete	Deletes the selected entities from the registry.
Add Property	Shows the Properties panel, where you can add a user-defined property to the selected entities.
Add Relationship	Shows the Create Relationship wizard that allows you to add a user-defined relationship to the selected entities.
Add Classifications	Shows the Classifications panel, where you can add classifications for the selected entities.
Export	Exports the selected entities, together with all of their properties, relationships, and classifications, to a single XML file. Before saving the file, you can specify its name and location.
Subscribe	Adds a subscription for the selected entities.
Add to Favorites	Adds the selected entities to your list of favorites. The favorites list is stored in a cookie in the local client browser. Cookies must therefore be enabled in the client browser for this feature to work.

Note: Buttons are not displayed if the current user security role does not permit the actions that the buttons perform.

Name: Specifies the name of the service.
Graph: Click the icon in this column for any services in the collection to display that entity in a graphical view.
Namespace: Specifies the namespace of the service.
Version: Specifies the version of the service.
Description: Specifies the user-provided description of the service.
