Sending a two-way SMS message using a client gateway

Learn about the basic two-way messaging function that is supported for clients who do not need additional technical integration with the SMS Campaign Manager.

How it works

Sending a two-way SMS message using a client gateway process

Mobile Terminated (MT) messages are handled by the client leveraging the Acoustic Exchange platform to send SMS messages from the Acoustic Campaign platform. See Use Acoustic Campaign to Send SMS Messages using the Client SMS Gateway for more information.

Mobile Originated (MO) messages are handled by the client who makes direct API calls into Acoustic Campaign. This includes adding/updating contact record, applying consent, and submitting delivery notification.

Feature support

You must have access to the following assets:
  • Active accounts in Acoustic Campaign and Acoustic Exchange
  • Text to Join SMS program in the SMS Campaign Manager
