IBM Z Security and Compliance Center

IBM Z® Security and Compliance Center is an integrated set of microservices that collects evidence data from participating IBM® software components and products. IBM Z Security and Compliance Center works with products and elements on your z/OS or Linux on Z system to collect and validate compliance data. Clients can use this data to check their z/OS and Linux on Z settings for compliance with industry security standards and generate reports for auditing purposes. With evidence-based data and IBM Z Security and Compliance Center, clients can validate the overall compliance posture of their I/T infrastructure, and remain current with industry standards even as regulations change.

IBM Z Security and Compliance Center is offered for the IBM Z platform as product ID (PID) 5655-CC1. It is a one-time charge (OTC) product for the IBM z15™ or IBM z16™ server.

For the IBM® LinuxONE™ platform, IBM offers an equivalent solution IBM® LinuxONE Security and Compliance Center, which is orderable as PID 5655-LC1. It is a one-time charge (OTC) product for the LinuxONE III or LinuxONE Emperor 4™ server.

IBM LinuxONE Security and Compliance Center offers function equivalent to IBM Z Security and Compliance Center for the LinuxONE platform. IBM LinuxONE Security and Compliance Center can be deployed on an LinuxONE™ III server or LinuxONE™ Emperor 4™ server.

Except where otherwise noted, references in this publication to IBM Z Security and Compliance Center and the solution also apply to IBM LinuxONE Security and Compliance Center.

Purpose of this information

This document describes how to install, configure, deploy, and use the IBM Z Security and Compliance Center solution (program number 5655-CC1). During this process, you perform the tasks necessary to make the solution operational. The process is complete when the solution is ready for use in a production or test environment.
