Defining service coefficients and options
Firstly, this information explains how service can be calculated in WLM (see Calculating the amount of service consumed).
Next, this information describes the options that must be specified for workload management. They are the following:
- How the system calculates the amount of resources that work consumes with service coefficients (see Service definition coefficients).
- Whether workload management is to dynamically set I/O priorities based on performance goals (see Specifying I/O priority management).
- Whether workload management is to consider I/O priority groups when dynamically setting I/O priorities (see Enabling I/O priority groups).
- Whether workload management is to dynamically reassign parallel access volume alias addresses based on performance goals (see Specifying dynamic alias management).
- Whether workload management is to deactivate discretionary goal management (see Deactivate discretionary goal management).
