IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for z/OS® agent MVSSYS does not start in TEMS

Problem: The IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for z/OS® agent does not come online in the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server and no data is seen for IBM® Z OMEGAMON® AI for z/OS® in the Tivoli Enterprise Portal Server or the Enhanced 3270UI.

This problem occurs if the UADVISOR_KM5_V* situations are not installed. These situations tell the agent to start, and collect data.

To resolve the problem, run either Configuration Manager or PARMGEN.

Using Configuration Manager, the GENERATE action will generate the runtime members for the runtime environment. For details on the GENERATE action, see Creating or updating a runtime environment and GENERATE.

Using PARMGEN, UADVISOR situations are installed when the PARMGEN RKANSAMU(KCIJPLOD) job is run. Check if that job was run and if it completed successfully. Or you can simply run it again, or run the stand-alone RKANSAMU(KM5RPOJB) job to reload the UADVISOR situations into the TKANDATV dataset.
