Policy lifecycle

This policy lifecycle is used to govern such service policies, from being identified through to being approved for reuse by consumers, and, eventually, to being withdrawn from use.

A service policy provides a collection of related policies which can be used to govern policy document collections and take a set of related policies through a lifecycle together.

The following diagram illustrates the states of the policy lifecycle, and, for each state, names the transition that moves the object forward to that state.

Note: In the lifecycle diagram, any transitions that are highlighted in red represent a promotion step in the sample promotion file.
