Lifecycles in the governance enablement profile
You govern entities in the governance enablement profile by moving them through states in a lifecycle. The lifecycle state of an entity indicates its progress in the development process.
The following subtopics describe each of the governance enablement profile lifecycles:
- Asset lifecycle
You use the asset lifecycle to govern an asset from being initially identified, through to being approved for reuse by consumers, and, eventually, to being withdrawn from use. - Capability lifecycle
You use the capability lifecycle to govern a capability from being initially identified, through to being approved when all the governance requirements are satisfied, and, eventually, to being deprecated and retired when it is considered to be no longer necessary. - SOA lifecycle
You use the SOA lifecycle to govern a capability version from being initially identified, through to being deployed in production, and, eventually, deprecated when it is no longer required. - SOA policy lifecycle
You use the SOA policy lifecycle to govern a policy from initial identification, through specification, approval, and deployment in production, and finally deprecation when it is no longer required. - Service level definition lifecycle
You use the service level definition lifecycle to govern a service level definition from being initially identified, through to being retired when it is no longer in use. - Service level agreement lifecycle
You use the service level agreement (SLA) lifecycle to govern a service level agreement from being initially identified, through to being activated, and, eventually, terminated when it is no longer required. - Endpoint lifecycle
You use the endpoint lifecycle to govern an endpoint from being approved for use, through to being retired. - Policy lifecycle
This policy lifecycle is used to govern such service policies, from being identified through to being approved for reuse by consumers, and, eventually, to being withdrawn from use. - CMDB object lifecycle
You use the CMDB object lifecycle is used to describe the status of federated objects in WSRR in synchronization with Tivoli CCMDB. - Default lifecycle
The default lifecycle provides the minimum ability to govern a collection of service artifacts, which should be adequate for proof of concept deployment and for prototyping. - SCMP lifecycle
